In July 1995 Foster & Company (established in 1978) and Raffan & Company (established in 1992) merged to establish Foster Raffan. 

In addition to Accounting and Tax Compliance, the Partners' areas of special interest and expertise are:

• Graeme McLean - tax planning and advice and financial planning (investment advice and management). His career in tax started in 1977 with Price Waterhouse in Sydney. He joined Ernst & Young as a senior tax manager in 1986. 
• George Raffan - business improvement, valuations, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. A partner in Coopers & Lybrand, Johannesburg, from 1973 (audit) and then in Ernst & Young in Sydney (business services) from 1986. 
• Vivien Tang - tax planning and advice and superannuation. Joined Foster & Company, one of our predecessor firms, in 1994. Except for a year with Hill Rogers in Sydney and 2 years in the tax division of Arthur Andersen in Taiwan in the late nineties, she has been with us since then. She has managed one of our compliance teams since 2000 and was appointed an Associate in 2007.
• Doug Wood - audit and valuations, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. He was an audit partner in Coopers & Lybrand in Papua New Guinea from 1985 and in Chatswood from 1989. 

A Team typically consists of a Team Leader, 2 Senior Accountants and 3 Trainee Accountants. 

The Team Leaders and Senior Accountants are qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs) or Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) with commerce/business degrees. The Trainee Accountants are commerce/business graduates who are in the process if qualifying as CAs.
